In 1951, "The African Queen" starring
Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn was playing
in theatres, a grocery store in Denver was the first
to begin offering S&H Green Stamps, and
a group of local motion picture exhibitors and distributors
established Variety Tent #37 in Denver, Colorado.
Today, almost six decades later, Variety
of Colorado continues the important mission established by those industry
pioneers: helping Children in need throughout the Mile High City and the
Centennial State.
Over the years Variety of Colorado fundraisers
including Chili Cook-offs, Golf Tournaments, Movie Premiere Screenings,
Ride 4 Kids Motorcycle Rides and Gold Heart Campaigns have raised more
than $2,000,000 for Colorado’s kids.
Variety of Colorado, Tent #37 is proud
of its 57-year history of serving Children in the Rocky Mountain region
and is excited to continue efforts on their behalf for many years to come.
